Solid piece on SAD—really appreciate the functional medicine angle you took.
That early-morning 10,000-lux light therapy timing, plus bringing in friluftsliv (even down here where winters aren't brutal), feels spot-on. The vitamin D testing and methylation support details show the deeper connections most folks miss.
Hi Thomas aka Wildfire! thank you so much for taking the time to read and support my post. Im glad to hear that you enjoy my work, that keeps me going to make even better articles. I love the functional medicine approach when it comes to just about anything! I also really like the concept of friluftsliv and try to incorporate the practice into my life even though I'm all the way down in Florida, but the summers are beyond brutal here so friluftsliv helps me get through them.
Appreciate the shoutout—glad the comment resonated.
Totally relate on flipping friluftsliv for those brutal Florida summers. Down here in the Lowcountry, it's the thick humidity that keeps you indoors too much, but pushing for that dock time or marsh walk anyway always resets things.
Your posts keep delivering—looking forward to the next one.
yeah we have that same thick humidity down here and its nasty. it definitely keeps me indoors a lot of may to October! thank you so much, stay tuned for a new Weekly Skill post tomorrow!! appreciate you, Wildfire!!

Helpful as always in these shorter days.
Enjoy your work you always provide solid facts.
