Amazing article, Jessica! This is an important subject to cover. Honesty is vital for our spirit. As you mentioned in the article, it doesn't have to be brutal to be effective.

Thank you so much for this article! When I'm alone in bed, and I'm in the shower, when I'm alone in the car, I'm going to say it out loud:

I'm proud of myself!

Society teaches us that 'pride cometh before a fall' so we don't let ourselves feel this often enough.

Well not anymore for this girl!

That’s awesome. I’m proud of you, Beckie!! Keep it up!

Raw, brave, and incredibly necessary. It takes a lot of courage to be this honest, and it’s clearly where the real growth happens. Beautifully written!

So much bravery and courage but once you gain radical acceptance and take full responsibility things start to shift if your favor.

Hi Jess, I’m not here to compete either. I’d love your help if you can. My latest article had only 2 views. Could you give any advice/help please? I’ve free subbed for now. A restack would wonderful if you feel it’s worthy. Thank you, Leo

Oh wow Jessica. I don't think there's a soul alive who doesn't need to hear this. Your characteristic style of breaking things that could be complex into their simple parts makes this a fantastic read 👏✨️

Thank you so much, Eimear! I definitely needed to write/read this one too! I’m glad it was broken down simply for super easing reading, thank you!!

Jessica, the two competing realities framing is sharp. The brain managing that gap is the cost most people never name. Or even recognize.

It’s sad how so many people are unaware. I guess ignorance is bliss! 😶🤷🏻‍♀️

Interesting that a lot of the problems in life tend to get solved with alignment. The less we lie to ourselves, the more at peace we can become with the outcome.

Jess, The Creator's avatar

Very true, Dido! The more we lie, the more we’re just lying to ourselves!!

Mmm. Yes. More honesty. No need to hold it all in. 🫶🏻

No need! Release it and create more space!

"Truth doesn’t always make life easier, but it almost always makes life clearer." - Yes - And it can take courage to recognize this, but once we do, the things that come after clarity become possible, such as a better understanding around a decision that needs to be made.

Jess, The Creator's avatar

facing the truth or hearing the truth is the best and strongest way to gain clarity and radical acceptance.
