That's interesting that you say that as you get more success the imposter syndrome tends to happen. I've actually seen the opposite where I felt like my lack of results meant I couldn't do much. But things seem to have changed ever since I made the career switch and I'm not looking for the external validation as much as I used to. That being said, I have a much stronger purpose now, so tying it back to my "why" helps a lot with this too.
This is wonderful! I've observed that identity tends to lag a little bit behind our actions and new reality. I love the framing here, definitely needed to see it in a new light. Thanks Jess!!! 🔥
Amazing post and so true! I loved this part especially “You’re not who you used to be, but you also don’t fully feel like the person you’re becoming yet.” As someone who feels imposter syndrome a lot and going through it right now, that spoke to me. I am going definitely leverage the steps you outlined to help me through it. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you so much for reading, Manisha! I appreciate you and hope this article helps you. 🤗 I’m facing imposter syndrome right now too so it was eye-opening experience to write it!
