You don’t need more answers.

You need more awareness of what’s already there.

Curious what resonated for you.

I used to take more risks. Marriage and children pushed that urge to the side. I am rediscovering small things. Movie date with myself. Traveling alone. It's refreshed my inner adventure mode.

Thanks, these questions ❓ are exactly what I need to 🤔 on.

Hi, Stachets! I needed those self reflecting journaling questions as well. I can see how marriage and children make it difficult to take risks especially when caring for children your maternal instincts come full force!!

Loved this Jess! Unfortunately I know what is wanting my attention, but I've not been prioritising it the last couple of weeks! Determined to get this back!

Thanks, Jen! I believe in you! I know you’ll get in back in no time especially with the Easter season ending.

Yes I hope so Jess! I normally post on a Wednesday but I’m heading on a little break tomorrow and as I’ve been busy with family and friends, I haven’t got to write yet. I may push it back a week rather than feel pressure during this Easter break - but we’ll see!

yeah if youre ever feeling pressure due to obligations and time, never rush a post. if you normally post Wednesday and can’t get it done maybe aim for thursday but if thats not attainable either just skip the week and post next wednesday. you get piece of mind and clarity.

you made a decision to skip the week instead of being in limbo thinking about how you didn't t do it and might start beating yourself up.

you are the boss here. you own your publication. if you can’t post, you can’t post. thats the whole idea of being your own boss. you have the choice to say you know what ill get back to it next wednesday so in can move with this week without pressure. it makes a huge difference.

This was exactly what I needed to hear Jess. Thank you for confirming it for me. I was going to try to get it out before I went away but I know if I did that, I'd have been in the wrong mindset for going away and the post wouldn't have got my full attention either.

It's so true about being the boss of this publication. I need to get more into that mindset!

Thanks so much for this perspective 💛

Love the insight here about that it doesn't have to be out building something new, but uncovering what's already there. Saw a similar pattern in myself when making a change, a lot of stuff that I knew deep down was never acted on due to people pleasing and managing people's expectations. But I think you have to disappoint some people if you want to live your own truth.

This was really helpful and insightful thank you! I've just finished the journal prompts and I jotted down some notes from your article alongside them.

A very real and practical perspective.

Sometimes we let too much in because we feel we owe people, pressures, or expectations access to us. But you do not owe every demand, every opinion, every message, every piece of information, every crisis, or every social expectation the right to live in your head.

You’re so right. You made it super clear and simple! We have full control of what we let in and give out.
