This is so true. We don’t often give ourselves enough credit for the small changes we’re making. Thanks for sharing Jess!

pausing and giving myself time to let the emotions pass has changed the way i navigate life and react to things! this really made me think about myself and my actions and i feel so secure with myself now!!

Jess, I 100% agree that we're wired to share what's lacking rather than what's rocking.

It's all about noticing when you're doing something you're striving to change and, more importantly, give yourself credit for any progress towards it. Love the concept of "an internal witness." Great way to think about it.

This one made me think deeply about how we view and support ourselves. What really spoke to me was when you said the internal witness helps us to become less fragile to external narratives. Becoming so accustomed to external recognition makes the ego dependent on external validation. When we internally regulate, there is strength in this. Thank you for a great reminder.

This sat with me Jess.

As someone who went through a long recovery, despite celebrating my daily progress I was impatiently looking forward. But I can now look back and say that my faith in my recovery and my inner voice of hope kept me going.

I’m glad this piece resonated with you, Fatimah! You’re a warrior. I’m happy to hear you have your faith and a positive inner voice!

Thank you Jess. Easier for me now to say that looking back.
