Jess, this was something I genuinely needed to read today.

It’s 6:06am here, and I’m having one of those grief moments where I’m really missing my father. Some mornings just hit differently.

Your reminder about overcoming adversity landed at exactly the right time. My life changed dramatically in 2025 when my dad had a heart attack, and after spending months by his side, I lost him in December. I’m still learning that adversity doesn’t always leave when the circumstances change—you carry it, process it, and slowly learn how to build a life around what happened.

So thank you for putting this into words. This genuinely brightened my morning a little when I needed it most.

Sometimes the right thing finds you at exactly the right moment. ❤️

Daaamn! The amount of truth bombs in here! I love that you acknowledge that we don’t have to rush to “something good is going to come out of it” and we can just admit we’re simply hurt! Good stuff Jess!
