That’s so true. Which is why being honest with yourself is a huge part of actually being present and fully there in a relationship and leads to its success. Great article Jess!!

You know it, Grecia! At the end of the day if you’re lying, you’re only lying to yourself. Thank you so much for reading!!

David Goggins (not everyone's fav) talks about this. Just being dead accurate with how you talk to yourself

The difficult part is people usually know the truth long before they admit it.

Most of the exhaustion comes from carrying the reality internally while still performing the old version externally.

You hit the nail on the head, Frank! The truth gets heavy if you carry it around enough!

This was an excellent article, Jess. I've done that too many times to count. It was always so draining.

I think naming the feeling, experience, whatever is key to changing it. The ability to articulate things just totally changes our ability to deal with it.

Think that's why I'm so obsessed with Robert Plutchik's Wheel of Emotions. Hard to fix what you don't know. https://www.6seconds.org/2025/02/06/plutchik-wheel-emotions/
