One sentence I kept coming back to while writing this:

"Your nervous system has been collecting evidence of safety your entire life. This week, you're simply putting that evidence onto a map."

I hope this becomes a resource you return to whenever you need it.

This really resonated.

I love the idea that safety isn't something we accidentally find.

It's something we learn to recognize, protect, and return to.

That feels like an important part of the rebuild. ❤️

Jessica, such a comprehensive list of things that can contribute to your feelings of personal safety! You're right that the body and the brain remember and we're likely holding tension we don't even realize as these come up for us.

A lot of what you're mentioning I use for just general stress reduction but it's good to know they're providing further benefit by rewriting the script on what feels safe too.

Good to know you’re already using things that you can co regulate with for stress reduction! You’re ahead of the game, Melanie
